Technology is making people less creative?

Creativity is an essential feature of a student. Every student needs it to be successful. Without it, students will be just copying things and not being original. But is the internet killing creativity? Well, if so, do you think technology is making people less creative?

I think technology does not make people less creative, in fact, I think it makes them more creative. Technologies allow people to research and be empowered. If you had no idea who Harriet Tubman was, you would never be empowered that minorities can make changes. These facts will encourage and empower creativity instead of making people less creative. Technology also made it easier to collaborate and throw in ideas while discussing with others. A genius with the flu might not have been able to share their idea in the 1800s, but nowadays they can. Technology also provides a place for experimentation. It would be easier to prototype and design thing way easier. For example, architect could plan out using a 3d model to figure out if a building is physically possible. Lots of accidents such as bridge crashing would be saved. There has never been a time to publish a book, compose a piece of music, make a game, or make a website easier than any time before. Achieving and doing things have been way easier. This also means that people don't have to use their brains or be creative. Everything can be easily done for them. They don't have to think about how to make more efficient way to make a website or how to write a book so that it's accessible to everyone. This thinking is old-fashioned since it is already done for them nowadays. People's mindsets will be also different, since the internet has almost everything, they will be discouraged to make new things. Why care about making new things, when they already exist? This limits creativity, but only a few deeper thoughts can fix this. People could think, "Since everything already exists, I have to be more creative" This means smart and intelligent people will be able to be creative, unlike others.
