There should be equal pay for equal work.

Hi! Do you think that people should be paid different amounts based on how hard they work? Well, today's discussion or essay topic is "There should be equal pay for equal work."

I think that they should get equal pay for equal work. And the law states that everybody should get equal pay no matter what. I also think that it would be racist or sexism if they do that. But if people don't give equal pay to just some people, it could be very unfair. So no matter how hard someone worked or how lazy someone worked, they should get equal pay. And if someone thinks that someone did better than another, just give them a bonus, or buy them lunch or something. Also, it is not fair for a person who gets less money. I mean, it's just a principle that if they have the same job, they get the same money. But, this way is also unfair. Let's say there is John and Johnny. John and Johnny both have the same job, working as grocery cashiers. Let's say that John worked way faster and got more people done, while Johnny was just being slow and lazy. After 4 hours of work, they both get $50. Is this fair? I don't think so. If this happens, John will also learn to be rather slow because he doesn't work a sore arm if he's getting the same money as another guy who's so lazy. So I think it will be also fairer and increase the work amount that cashiers or whoever's getting done if they give money based on how many customers they served or something like that. This is fairer and encourages workers to get as much as they can get done so they will get more pay or money. But this way can be only fair if the pay is based off of data. If a person is just estimating, this way is not fair.

To conclude or sum up all the pieces of information from this easy selection, I think that getting equal pay for doing the same work is fair but doing it based on how well they did it can encourage workers to work harder and not only that, it is fair for people who work harder than other people because they will get paid more.
