Does media violence lead to behavioral problems?

Hello! Do you like watching movies? Then, do you like watching action-filled movies or tv-series? Well, today's discussion or essay topic is "Does media violence lead to behavioral problems?"

Well, I think that it could lead to behavioral problems. Some universities or colleges did research where they showed horror movies and violent movies to teenagers. Their actions were way more violent than before. When they did the same test on adults, similar results occurred.  They also had effects of aggressive and very violent behavior, bullying, desensitization to violence, fear, depression, nightmares, and sleep disturbances. None of these are good, and this could also cause some problems with their social life since nobody would want to be friends or even near a person who is very aggressive and bullies people. And it is most likely that people's action is influenced by what they watch, what friends they hang out with, and where they live. 13-year-olds who watch horror movie's action will be more violent than 13-year-olds who watch cartoons because of his sister. Even if someone who's watching violent movies knows that it's fiction, it's likely that they will do and say like the characters in the movie. Also, I think that even if they don't have behavioral problems, it's most likely that they will influence a person's thinking.

But I also have an opposing opinion. I don't think that it leads to behavioral problems. Firstly, I think 99.999% of people watching the tv-series or movies know that it's fiction. So, people would know that it's fiction. And who would be affected or suddenly have behavioral problems because they watched this one little movie? Also, I don't think anyone would be watching horror or violent movies if they don't have self control. And most the teenagers probably aren't allowed to watch any movies above their age limit. So I think if we are not talking about teenagers or anyone under 25, it's fine since most of people will have some self control.
