The cost of prescription drugs should be regulated.

Hi! Do you know anyone who takes pills regularly or take medicines regularly? Well, in today's essay I will present reasons for this topic "The cost of prescription drugs should be regulated."

Well, I think that cost of prescription drugs should be 100% regulated. The first reason is that prescription drugs are prescripted.  This means that anyone should be able to get it anywhere from the pharmacy in Walmart to Walgreens. And it won't be fair if it's really expensive in Wallgreens just because they thought it would give them some earnings. The second reason is that prescripted drugs are supposed to be affordable to anyone. They can't just raise the price of painkillers like Tylenol just because there are lots of injuries or it is the season of sports. It always has to be the same, or else, it will be prescripted and not be actually bought. Another reason is that doctor's visits are expensive, and if people barely can afford them, how will they be able to buy medicine? People will start to depend more and more on folk remedies. And some folk remedies aren't safe or could cause serious injury. And by regulating it, they could also prevent ridiculously high prices of the medicine that won't even work.

But there are opposing reasons. If they regulate the price of medicine, every time the price of really expensive medicine goes down, people will act like they are sick and try to stock those in their house for later use. This would be very unfair and it would prevent the real sick ones from getting the medicine. And it won't be also fair to cities. A single state has lots of cities, whether that is urban or city countryside. And if they just set the price for the state or the country, it won't be fair for cities if they are too cheap because pharmacies need money to run. And it won't be fair to pharmacies in the countryside if they are too expensive because they won't be able to afford them. It would also take a long time to try to set a price for every prescripted medicine.
