Hi! Do you think Pit bulls or other aggressive dogs are just stereotypes and they aren't actually aggressive? Well, today's essay or discussion topic is "Pit bulls and other aggressive dog breeds should not be allowed.".
I think that Pit bulls and other aggressive dog breeds should be banned and not allowed for civilians to have them as a pet. The first reason is that 72% of accidents or injuries that were caused by dogs were caused by pit bulls. And it's not just pit bulls. The top ten of accidents include or about dogs is all aggressive dogs like German Shepherd and American bulldogs. Another reason is that dogs are dangerous, and if it's not the government (like police) or officials training these dog breeds, they could kill someone or injure them badly. Although adults at least could protect themselves, but children will have a hard time protecting themselves, especially from a huge dog with sharp fangs or teeth. And lots of children love to play in their front yard, and ironically a dog was there, the dog will think of toddlers or children as prey. Their instinct is to chase them down and get them, and dogs are very fast. So a toddler or children will not be able to outrun them. And even if they run, dogs think of them as prey even more. So unless there is a law requiring people to get dog mouth guards and require them to wear them with leashes, they will have to ban them. And the government will need the registration of all pit bulls and other aggressive dogs to prevent some accidents.
To conclude or sum up all the important or keypoint pieces of information from this selection, I think that they should be banned because pit bulls and other aggressive dogs are dangerous and well... aggressive! And most of the victims are children or toddlers because they are small and dogs think of them as prey and they can't protect themselves from 50 pounds dogs with sharp teeth and fangs. And toddlers' instinct would be to run, to the dog's eye, it looks more like prey. So they will chase them down and attack them.
