Hi! Do you think people should encourage recycling? Well, today's topic is "Garbage disposal should not be free to encourage recycling (example: Switzerland)."
Well, I think that they should. The first reason is that recycling is good for the environment and it could slow down or stop global warming. Global warming is a major problem and encouraging recycling, could really help to slow it down and stop soil pollution. Also, by recycling and not just disposing of garbage, there would be more space for farming and living instead of landfills. And another reason is that by landfilling landfills, it could actually pollute water when groundwater flows in the water cycle. And if it repeats, it could literally pollute an entire pond or even a lake! And by recycling, people would use fewer resources which could also stop the scarcity of nonrenewable resources.
But there are other opinions too! Well, they should never force to make garbage disposal to be not free. The first reason is that if they do it, there will be even more trashes on the roadside because people will not pay their precious money when they could just throw it on the roadside. Another reason is that it won't be fair to the working class because some of them only have money to eat and pay bills. Not to dispose of some garbage which could lead to protest or worse, they would put it on the roadside and working-class's areas will be dirtier and there will be fewer jobs than less money and it will just repeat. It won't be also fair for lots of factories because they will have less to make because recycling center is doing their job.
To sum up all the important pieces of information or key points from this selection, I think encouraging recycling will be good for the environment, but maybe forcing people to pay money to dispose of garbage would be unfair. But there won't be any other way to encourage other people to recycle and not just put trash in the garbage cans because it could cause water pollution. And the effects of it would come back for you.
