Do curfews keep teens out of trouble?

Hi! Do you think teenagers are trouble makers? Well, today's topic is "Do curfews keep teens out of trouble?"

I don't have the numbers and all the analytics, but I think it will probably help to have curfews to keep teenagers out of trouble.  It could also prevent the danger of some young teenagers getting kidnapped. So it could improve the safety of a town or city AND keep teenagers out of trouble. But can't teenagers make trouble during the day or afternoon? Well, it will be way easier to notice during the day when people are awake and when they are not excentering. But at night, when most people are sleeping, it will be easier for teenagers to cause trouble and disturb the neighborhood. Although most troubles caused by teenagers aren't something massive that would appear on TV like toilet papering the house, sometimes some extreme cases happen too. And this would be a great way to prevent it from happening. And it could also prevent teenagers from sleeping and fooling around at school because a good sleep helps people increase their focus, and a good night's sleep would be amazing for teenagers to be active and ready to learn.

But a sad truth is that all of these can be or could be prevented with parents caring about their children and asking or stopping them from going outside at midnight or late at night. Maybe they could check up on them and ask if they have any plans for the night. But there would be some teenagers who would sneak out during the night. Parents can't prevent that but by just asking them, I think it could prevent at least 25%.

To sum up, from the pieces of information I got from this selection, having curfews could really help teenagers cause trouble around the neighborhood and it could really prevent teenagers from getting kidnapped. Although it could be simply prevented by parents looking out for their kids whenever they try to go out, it could be still helpful to have curfews, but it probably shouldn't apply to adults since this is for teenagers.
