Hi! Today's topic is "Using animals for scientific research is inhumane.". I definitely agree with it, but wouldn't it be inhumane for humans to use humans to experiment?
As I said, I agree that it is very inhumane to use poor animals to experiment for scientific research. But here some very important questions, if we are not experimenting with poor animals, who or what are will be doing with them? But first, let's go deep into why it is very inhumane. Firstly, some of you may argue that it is very common for lots of scientists to use animals and it is for benefit of humanity itself. But think in somebody's shoes, well, in this case, in some animal's shoes. Would they be happy if some giant animals tried to experiment on them? I know that they probably didn't acquire that kind of knowledge yet, but it would be very terrifying for them. And they are still living things and they probably have something called "FEELING". But even if governments on the whole wide world shut down animal experimentation and use animals for scientific research, how will people test these new products or scientific discoveries that have to be tested on someone.
There could be mainly two ways of solving this issue, get volunteers or force people like prisoners on the death penalty or just force some people to do it. But a more efficient way would be to force people, but it is also inhumane to do it, lots of people probably will protest and beg to make a law about this kind of problem. But getting volunteers is very dangerous for them, and not lots of people will probably volunteer since it is their body that they are talking about. So unless there is a new way of testing new scientific discoveries that won't involve animals or humans getting hurt, animal experimentation will have to continue. I know it is very sad news but it is either human or animals and if I could choose, I would say that we should experiment on animals. It would be just cruel to experiment on humans, that is considered a war crime! And we shouldn't probably do it.
