Hi! Would you like to visit Scotland? Well, today's "Will Scotland become independent from the United Kingdom?".
The first thing that you should know is that Great Britain doesn't own or keep Scotland. It is a kind of union between the countries.
"NO!". They will not, maybe they will, but not anytime soon First reason is that Scotland doesn't want to be independent. You can't make a country that doesn't want to be independent, independent. There was a vote in 2014 in Scotland about whether they should leave England or keep in England. And the majority of them voted to stay in England. Another reason is that it is just beneficial for Scotland to keep this relationship.
But there is another opinion. I think it will be independent someday. The first reason is that the world has been peaceful-er as time passed. I know that our Earth will never be peaceful, but we have reached the point where we could try a little bit and stop all the wars. And when there isn't war, there isn't really the reason to keep it. The second reason is that lots of countries have been independent of Scotland. So maybe, just maybe, Scotland will be independent of England since they won't need a union. And if Scotland doesn't think they need this union. as the U.S.A. did in the 1900s, they can and probably will get out of England. And Scotland already planned to hold a vote in 2023 whether they will be out and independent of the United Kingdom or they will just keep up with the United kingdom and just keep things the way it is.
So the conclusion is that they will and won't. But I personally think Scotland will not become independent from the United Kingdom. Because it is the pretty big thing and it is just beneficial for scot land to keep their allies and don't waste them. But there are also disadvantages. So I only think a tiny bit more that Scotland will not become independent from the United Kingdom. The reason that Scotland will become independent from the United Kingdom is that Scotland doesn't have to be in a union if the world is peaceful.
