Hi!! And do you like animals? I do, but is it okay if we test on those animals? If you guessed today's topic would be "Should animal testing be legal or illegal?" You guessed right! So what do you think, I have mixed opinions. Why don't we start talking about it?
First, I think they shouldn't use animals for testing, because animals are life, they are alive. And secondly, they are used as testing subjects even though they don't want to be. And also it is very cruel, just that we are smarter and bigger than other animals doesn't mean that we can do all sorts of tests on them. Think about how you would feel if some giant person does all kinds of tests on you and you don't know if you will wake up normal the next day every time you sleep. That would be terrible, and also very stressful. And each year, more than 100 million animals die because of animal testing only in the US! Think about the world, it would be billions or even more!
But there is also a big problem, if animal testing is gone, who will they test the new medicines, foods, chemicals, and more? Animal testings are the only one that we can use as testing before doing the human testing at this technology. If we don't find a backup plan or anything, there won't be any new products or anything. And that's bad cause then, people will start to run out of business, which will make a lot of unemployees! And great depression will probably repeat. Except that there isn't any solution unless they let people do animal testing. And people can't keep saying that animal testing is bad without giving any backup plan. And I know animal testing is bad, but without them, the world will be pretty bad. And only if they take good care of animals, it is okay. Like if they are trying to see if the new lotion is okay, they can do the lotion thing and if things go wrong, they can make an antidote and save the animal. Then they would be good, but the problems are that they are not ONLY for products, they are also used for education, medical training, and more. So without them, most of the jobs won't be there.
