Hi! Do you like reading or watching movies better? Well, today's discussion and essay writing topic are "Why books are better than their movies".
Well, the first reason is that reading books makes you smarter. This is actually proven, and lots of people will most likely already know this. But there is also another reason, it helps you have a better inner voice, which is something like thinking about the story while you read it. And that helps you have a better understanding of the world around you and it can also help you understand new things that you learn about better. Also, most of the time, books have way more details than films do because books have to give this scene to life in the reader's mind. And books encourage people to imagine things. Unlike movies, where there isn't a lot of imagination that would happen, books force you to think and imagine. And there has been research about how people that read books are most likely to get jobs than people who don't read any books. Another reason is that books just take longer to read than watching movies. This is good because would you like to pay $30 for 7 movies in a week or pay just $5 for a single book for a week? I mean I would say that reading a book is saving a ton of money. And I think that it would be just reading a book because reading will help your brain exercise and it's really good when you are trying to sleep instead of watching a movie at night.
But there are also reasons why movies are better than reading a book. Firstly, movies are faster to finish, which means you can watch other movies way faster than you can read other books. And movies are for everybody, so you don't have to know old English to watch Rome and Juliet. Unlike where you have to know about old English when you are trying to read the script of Romeo and Juliet. It's the same with people with dyslexia. Movies just make it easier for them, which is very good. Also, movies are just easy to understand and easy for light Friday night fun.
