Hi! Do you like learning new languages like Spanish, French, etc? Well, today's topic is "Foreign language instruction should begin in kindergarten.".
I actually have two opinions on this kind of topic. The first one is that they should, and the second one is, you guessed it, they should not. Well, I will state my first opinion, they should do it. The first reason is that learning a new language helps people's brains grow and get better at learning, which is pretty crucial; to young kids, which includes kindergarteners. It can also help children how to learn a new language more effectively, which could be an important skill as they grow. And it could help them boost their learning. If they know that they learned something new, and they are proud of it, it is most likely that those kids will love learning after multiple of those experiences. It could help kids that have a hard time learning and focus on the lesson. And this doesn't only apply to kindergarteners, it could apply to anyone of any age.
Let's move on to the next opinion, it is not good for kindergarteners to learn a new language at such a low age. The first reason is that they may get confused with foreign language rules, and English or their home country's grammar rules, which is pretty bad for kids. Because kids can learn one thing wrong and they could keep their habit until someone finally fixes it, which could literally take forever. And it is just confusing for children, it is also hard to remember things they learn in foreign language classes and grammar classes. It could be just disrupting for them, and it could make their grades go lower if they have grades.
To sum up all pieces of information, it could be a very fun and exciting experience to learn a new foreign language, but it could be also a very confusing and angry experience for some kindergarteners. On the other hand, it can boost a kid's learning, which is pretty important on ae like that since that is when lots of kids learn to give up. But with those boosts, he/she will probably succeed.
