Hi! Do you have creativity? Well, if so, did anyone teach you? Well, today's topic is "You cannot teach creativity.". I think you can teach ......in some ways.
I think lots of you guys know that you can't just say "Huzzah!" and give someone creativity. But you can teach someone how to be creative. Let me give you an example, you know book dot right? There was this kid that was very bad at art, but when his or her (I don't really remember) teacher inspires him or her, he or she got creative and made all sorts of dots, big ones, small ones, and more. Even though it was just a story, this could happen. You can give someone creativity, but you can't make them creativity last long. But you can teach them or inspire them TO BE creative. It is like math, a person can give answer, but it wouldn't make you smarter or better at math, just a better grade. But if they teach them HOW TO solve for the answer instead of giving them, they will improve and get better at math. See the similarity? You can tell someone the answer, but they will not improve nor be better at it. Instead, they should teach how to do it not what it is.
Albert Einstein once said, "It is the supreme art of the teacher to AWAKEN joy in creative expression and knowledge." It basically means that it is the teacher's job to awaken or teach students to enjoy the process of being creative, and how to be creative. So I think it is a really good quote and it shows that it can be possible to teach how to be creative.
If you still don't get it, I will give you an example, a person who told the teacher that he is not creative enough. But the teacher could say that he is, with his knowledge and his skills, he can think of good ideas and be creative. So it boosted up the person and he got creative.
So, what is the answer to today's topic? I wouldn't say it is "straight, crystal-clear yes" because it is about teaching creativity, not teaching HOW to be creative. But I think I will say that it is just a similar thing, it is not the same for sure, but it is similar enough to say that it actually is.
Folks, thanks for reading this essay, I hope to see you next time, BYE!
