Torture is an acceptable measure to prevent terrorism

Hi! Do you think torturing is a good thing? Not a lot of you would have said "Yessss". Well, today's topic is "Torture is an acceptable measure to prevent terrorism.". I think this is a very advanced topic.

There is 2 main opinion and I will be stating or showing both opinions here. The first opinion that I'm going to show you is that it is acceptable and the second one is that it is not. I'm going to tell the pros and cons of both of them at the same time. You can't just torture people because they are bad. People are doing it in order to get the answer. The first reason is that terrorism usually kills lots of people. Even way more than people that are probably going to get tortured. But I'm not saying that it is a good thing to torture them. It will save lots of people, but it could injure one or several people seriously because torturing is not fun and it can leave permanent scars or injuries. It could also leave some traumatic memories. And terrorism groups like to keep things secret. So the person that they are torturing can be an innocent person that has nothing to do with this terror.

Also, It is not very human-like to torture other people. It is hurting other people. It is very cruel to torture. And not only the person that is GETTING tortured but the person that is torturing can be very traumatic. It is a wonderful world and I don't think people should be tortured. But if the whole earth is in trouble, I wouldn't say "No", but I will not say "Yes" either. Some people can say that terrorism is bad and we should torture bad people! But the thing is that there haven't been lots of terrors around except there will be consistent terrors in war zones, but lots of countries have been pretty safe from fear of terrorism or even real terrors. But who knows if they might strike again. So it is good to be prepared. It could take millions of years saying the Pros and Cons. So, to sum up I think my conclusion is that they shouldn't really torture people even in extreme cases.

Bye! Have a great weekend.
